The second annual Palm Springs Amateur is your chance to play a net, stroke-play event at nationally-recognized La Quinta golf courses during the prime time of the Palm Springs golfing season.
The Palm Springs Am is patterned after the popular and successful Pac Am in Bend, Oregon, and the Mesquite Amateur in Nevada.
Palm Springs Amateur courses include:
- PGA WEST's Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament courses
- La Quinta Resort & Club's Dunes & Mountain courses.
Unbelievably, you get to play in PRIME TIME - ON PRIME COURSES - just days before the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Classic. Temps average 65-80 and were in the mid to upper 70s during the 2010 event. A far cry from those frigid northern and midwestern winters.
The Palm Springs Amateur consists of three days of flighted, net, stroke-play with the top two players from each flight advancing to the Palm Springs Amateur Championship round at Silver Rock Golf Resort - a Bob Hope Classic event course.
Unique to the Palm Springs Amateur - MULTIPLE champions will be crowned - Open (Gross), Men's, Senior Men's, and Women's.
The Palm Springs Amateur also has created an EARLY REGISTRATION BONUS! Be one of the first 200 to register for the event and you will be entered into a drawing for a complimentary deluxe suite at the La Quinta REsort and Club for the three nights of this year's event.
Cost per player is $595 (US) ($575 for returning players) and includes three rounds of golf (a fourth if you finish in the top 2 of your flight). Add to that a $100 Gift Card at Lumpy's Golf of La Quinta - and lots of other cool prizes and contests.
The Palm Springs Amateur gives you the opportunity to stay at the La Quinta Resort and Club's private casitas and enjoy some of the best "Winter Golf Weather" in North America.
